Chopin - Waltz Op. 69 No. 1 "L'adieu"

Today, I’m sharing my performance of Chopin’s Waltz in A-flat major, Op. 69 No. 1, “L’adieu.” Composed around 1835 and published posthumously in 1855, this beautiful waltz is traditionally associated with Chopin’s relationship with Maria Wodzińska, to whom he had been engaged. Its graceful melody, delicate phrasing, and gentle melancholy create a deeply nostalgic and intimate atmosphere, making it one of Chopin’s most poignant waltzes. The main melody resembles ballade 1 or am i tripping?

First mvm:The middle section is quite nice but honestly the opening section is rather bland. I feel like a slight change in harmony and/or rhythmn would make the section feel more alive.
Second mvm: I like it, really short tho
Third mvm: looks ridiculously hard.....the theme is charming tho.
Overall: why are movements 2-3 so short compared to movement 1? Movement 1 starts out a bit weak for me but overall the piece is charming.
