Mozart. 12 variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman" – the melody we most associate today with 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. It's amazing to think that the original melody was written only 40 years before these variations were composed (a childrens folk song from France), and today is one of the first and most important melodies we all grow up with – I still remember the feeling of realization that the Alphabet song and Twinkle Twinkle were the same melody! It's quite fitting that one of the most important melodies in human history received variation treatment from one of the most important composers in human history. I hope you have an awesome week ♥
