Hello! This piece is well-known as Bach's Adagio. In fact, it is J. S. Bach's arrangement of the second movement of A. Marcello's Oboe Concerto in D minor. It is a beautiful and sad composition that evokes deep contemplation. I hope you enjoy listening to this performance. Thank you. Have a nice day!

I most enjoy playing this at 1.25x bpm. It removes the tendency to drag on the piano.

Now remember everyone.. Bach did NOT “compose” this! Marcello did. The soul piecing came from Marcello and was then preserved and highlighted by Bach’s genius intertwining treble and base to create depth in his own compositions. Bach TRANSCRIBED from oboe/strings to harpsichord.

This speed is accurate, but I listen to it at 1.5x The faster pace sounds far more natural.

I've been clean of SH for four months now. This piece, and this interpretation specifically, is both the urge, and the consolation to me: the galactic floating in the weight of the unforgettable, faded into oblivion.
