Chopin – Newly Discovered Waltz in A minor, 2024

Hello! Recently, a newly discovered Chopin’s waltz has become a major topic of interest on YouTube. Some of my subscribers had been asking me to play it, so I decided to perform it. Since it’s such a newly discovered piece, I had quite a few things to consider while interpreting it. Given the piece’s brevity, I played certain parts in repetition without disrupting the original waltz structure. I hope you all enjoy this interpretation. Thank you!

This piece gives me the feeling that I have just awaken from a very deep sleep, only to find that I sleep on a surface that is not my bed, but the ground. I am lying on the old dusty wooden floors of my home instead of the bed I've slept on? I finally open my eyes only to find that my room was completely emptied! Was I robbed!? Moved!? I stood up feeling as if it was a dream, I turn to Check in my closet. I open the door and step back quickly. What I have found is simply unexplainable. My closet was now a door leading outside my home allowing a bright ray of light to shine into my dark room. The scenery though, was so different than what I have remembered. I see tall structures, Many, oh, many futuristic moving inventions with strange sounds as well. I try to walk out of the new door, but something very strange occurs. It shifts opposite to my velocity as I walk towards it. I then realize after time that I cannot exit through the strange door. I cannot explain the confusion and fear I felt in that moment. So I just sat on the open floors of my emptied room, and stared into this strange yet magnificent window to a new world. But just then I hear a loud sound above, and I see "flying machines"! I think to myself this cannot be real! I must be having some sort of vision! But just then, I see a bright flash. The brightest light I've seen my entire life. A huge cloud grows as if it where a tree, but extremely quickly. A wave of flames in all directions emit from it, The clouds themselves run away. This all happens in a matter of seconds until my entire house shakes, and I fall back. I hear nothing at all but see the world once beautiful, completely non existent!? All I now see is darkness from the once vivid window to a colorful realm. Everything there, has just completely faded from existence. I just sit for a few minutes watching the darkness until I finally shut my closet door.
