Ludovico Einaudi – Experience

Merry Christmas!! Here is a little gift to you all, from me. It's not the classic jolly carol or not even really Christmas themed like the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from last year, but I think this piece best sums up what this year has been – managing to capture both the happy and the sad in one short and ever repeating, yet subtly changing theme: an experience. It's been over 2 years since the last Ludovico video, and I'd say without a doubt he's been the most requested composer since, so to end this strange year, a return to something familiar and comforting is in order. I'm wishing you all the best for 2021, a year ago we had no clue what was in store for us in 2020, let's hope that this next year will be a much more positive surprise. Right after I heard this song I played it again an closed my eyes and I saw in my mind the start of a nuclear war that will end the majority of humanity.
Song starts to play and we can't hear anything else and nukes are exiting the silos and going in high Earth orbit and fly to their destinations. In the same time sirens are going off around the globe and people receive phone notifications of the upcoming danger and they must seek shelter immediately. Panic starts and people run to the first building or metro station they see. Nukes fly fast and start to hit their targets and wiping out everything and everyone. For a second the music stops and we hear short flash, bang, fireball. Screams. Silence. Mother holding her kids in a building in her arms perhaps for the last time with the approaching fireball. Just when the fireball is about to hit them, everything turns white. The music continues and we find ourselves high up in the skies and see multiple flashes, mushroom clouds and we start to drift further away from the madness that just happened on this planet. Earth is getting smaller and smaller until it is barely visible. Music fades. Everything goes…. dark.

I found this song (again) after like 4 years… And I love it. It just has a ambience of making stuff loose in my head. I learned to play it in like 2 hours and am now training on perfecting it.

Escutando isso, percebo como tudo é complexo e perfeito ao mesmo tempo. Cada vibração parece parte de algo maior, como se o caos, em harmonia, virasse consciência. A música prova que existe um Criador — nada tão belo nasce do nada.
E o mais triste é lembrar que, mesmo entendendo isso, às vezes eu caio nos mesmos impulsos.
Mas agora eu sei: o inimigo mais perigoso que existe é a gente mesmo.
Esse é o preço de ter consciência de si
